VMV/VMVD Switchgear

Type VMV Switchgear is of the flush mounted, metalclad type with air insulated busbars and a vacuum circuit breaker. An instrument chamber with hinged door forms an integral part of the fixed portion of the gear, whilst a relay chamber and a voltage transformer can be mounted on top of the unit when required. |
The vacuum circuit breaker is vertically operated and is mounted in a horizontally withdrawable carriage. Busbar and cable earthing facilities are integral, with selection by transfer of the circuit breaker to the appropriate position. Safety shutters cover the fixed isolating contact bushing apertures and are positively operated by the raising or lowering of the circuit breaker.
A voltage transformer can be mounted on top of either the CT chamber or the busbar chamber for circuit or busbar connection respectively.

We are able to offer a full range of spares and extension panels for this equipment and the VMV range of switchgear can also be extended by Eclipse.
