Lightning Successes!
Recent contract successes from Meidensha Japan for the supply of our new Lightning DC Switchgear include:
One of the biggest projects ever undertaken in transport in the Middle East - the Dubai LRT - is now under construction. Phase 1 has been awarded to Hawker Siddeley Switchgear Ltd , with Phase 2 to be imminently awarded. Phase 1 equipment includes over 220 panels of Lightning NDC DC switchgear and over 400 Disconnect switches.
As part of the expansion of Dubai International Aiport, Hawker Siddeley Switchgear Ltd was awarded the contract to supply a switchgear package of Lightning NDC DC Switchgear, DC Disconnectors and DC Distribution boards to Dubai APM (Unmanned Airport People Mover).
Meidensha also awarded Hawker Siddeley Switchgear Ltd the contract to supply over 12 Lightning NDC DC switchgear panels and DC Disconnectors to Boon Lay Singapore, for the extension of the island's east - west metro line. Having been involved in the first metro projects in Singapore with the MM74, FKI Switchgear are now successfully introducing the Lightning NDC DC circuit breaker to the islands’ transport infrastructure.
